講述Emily與未婚夫Christian及一群朋友聯(lián)手開了家有機咖啡館，為此翻新了新奧爾良法國區(qū)的一棟馬車房，但當Emily找到了一塊古老的、曾用來召喚靈魂的巫術通靈板，黑暗也隨之而來。為了幫Emily，Christian向玄學專家Alexander Babtiste求助，但Babtiste自己也身懷秘密，他知道宿命的血緣將他們都與“魔鬼碟仙”綁定在了一起。一個當代的白女巫團、Babtiste住宅中的面具舞會、巫術女王Naga Soth的遺產(chǎn)……一起組成了一個危險的游戲，Emily的性命因此危在旦夕。
